![]() ![]() ![]() Companion ICs are okay.ģ) It must be bright enough to show up well even in daylight, yet it must utilize only standard (i.e. I decided on 5 lines (like the nerdkit one) which means that I'll have 40 columns of LEDs.Ģ) It must only utilize a single MCU. So here's the basic scope of the project.ġ) It must be a wide display, since I've got at least 200 LED's sitting here, I decided that it would use 200 of them. So with that said, I decided, "How cool would that be if I MADE it do that?" SELF! How cool would that be if it was much bigger?!? How cool would that be if it would take a list of "things to say" and repeated through them instead of relying on serial control to constant input info? How cool would that be if it could do animation effects?. I knew that it was fairly simplified in order to be easier for newer nerdkit owners to be able to accomplish and understand. Here's a run down.Īfter seeing the tutorial on the LED sign I thought it was really cool. As soon as I get it a bit futher I'll post up some video/pics.
